2nd Annual “Tag Team” Game of SKATE Results!

The game of SKATE went off without a hitch (pretty much) again! Thanks for everyone coming out and supporting your local shop.  We had a big turn out, and some serious games went down.

Aaron Collier and his partner showed up last minute almost not making it into the contest and ironically took the whole thing. These guys almost didn’t miss a trick the entire game. Jonny Scianneaux and his partner David Kahn came in 2nd repping USS.  Texas duo Jake Martinez and Erik Ostos came in 3rd, extra points for their team thanks to Ostos’ buttery nollie flips and nollie tres. 

Honorable mention to Bert Wootton and Chris Blake, Jack Moran and Johan Stuckey, Eric Carter and Corey Lindholm, and Ryan O’Connor and Parker Landers.  They all killed it all day long, and were good sports (well, maybe not O’Con..) about losing.

Tim Payne came out and showed the kids some love and brought out a sick “jersey barricade”-type upledge, and a sick little wedge ramp.  The kids who didn’t play skate were hyped, and a nice little best trick contest went down on the jersey barricade.  Last year’s game of SKATE winner Bert Wootton walked away with a wopping $22. Not exactly the 500 big ones he walked away with last year, but I’m sure he was more than hyped that he made his entry fee back and then some.
