Right now in the shop we have a 5&#8217;10&#8243; Firewire Spitfire with the Rapidfire technology that you can demo out for just $30 per day *.</p>
<p>This board is super fun to ride. Adam, our resident ding guy and owner of Surfboard Medic, took advantage of the demo and took the board out for the Hurricane Colin swell and raved about it so much, he ended up taking one home a few days later. &#8220;Super easy to paddle, the board just felt really lively with a lot of spring. Fast with tons of drive, it was easy to boost over sections or slide the tail around.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Spitfire combines a diamond tail and step-down tail rail, giving the Spitfire the tail bite of a much thinner board, without losing the Dominator&#8217;s speed and flotation. The Spitfire offers the same 5/4/3 fin options and a low entry rocker for easy paddling.</p>
<p>With plenty of waves inbound, come in the shop and grab it before someone else does!</p>
<h6 style="text-align: right;">* Demo cost can be put towards purchase of the board</h6>

The heat index was around 100 degrees, but we still managed to get a super good session and have a good time. Since I have met Poptart his skating has grown a lot. He is still a little guy, but his tricks have matured. Check out a hard days work from Jake, and look for this <a href="http://a60.video2.blip.tv/8680005630824/Wheatleyman1-PoptartOSP704.mov?bri=3.3&amp;brs=3001">ripping video</a> along with photos and an interview from him later this month.</p>

<p>This past weekend, shop riders Jonny,Kenan, and I braved the 100 degree weather and drove out to Jacksonville to try and get some content for the team page we&#8217;re in the process of building. We left in the morning to try and beat the rain, and made it there with plenty of time to skate.</p>
<p>As all Floridians know, you have to drive North to get to the South making Jacksonville a pretty Southern city compared to Orlando. Seeing that it was a Sunday that we visited Jax, everything in the city closes around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. If you ever are looking for a time to skate Jacksonville, try Sunday evening. The whole city is pretty much free game.</p>
<p><span id="more-649"></span><br />
<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/?action=view&amp;current=35759_1221452236942_1848042153_4462.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/35759_1221452236942_1848042153_4462.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br />
With some last minute directions we stopped at a secret Jacksonville spot that not too many out-of-towners know about. It was a long car ride with two teenagers.<br />
<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/?action=view&amp;current=34125_1221452876958_1848042153_4462.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/34125_1221452876958_1848042153_4462.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br />
This spot has almost no coverage probably because of how gnarly it is. The bank is so steep that the nose of your board will just run into it like a vertical wall and send you flying forward. Kenan made the mistake of not lifting up his nose and the spot smashed his board. Not too often you get to skate a perfect natural bank though. The spot was definitely pretty fruitful.<br />
<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/?action=view&amp;current=36356_1221453756980_1848042153_4462.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/36356_1221453756980_1848042153_4462.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br />
Jax has a really sick city. All the buildings are very aesthetically pleasing. ..Until you get to the outskirts of downtown at least.<br />
<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/?action=view&amp;current=35791_1221462757205_1848042153_4462.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/35791_1221462757205_1848042153_4462.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br />
Insert typical Main Street Bridge photo above.<br />
<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/?action=view&amp;current=35435_1221455317019_1848042153_4462.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/35435_1221455317019_1848042153_4462.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br />
Another Jacksonville gem is the War Memorial ledges. It&#8217;s like a skateboarder&#8217;s paradise complete with 6 perfect granite ledges, a wallie to manual, and a huge marble wall with a bank up to it perfect for wallriding. Of course it has people&#8217;s names who&#8217;ve given their lives in the wars over the past 100 years, but the ledges don&#8217;t have anyone dead on them! That&#8217;s free game right? After years of skateboarding going on here without causing as much as a scratch to the ledges (the stone is so hard it honestly doesn&#8217;t scratch), they finally got knobbed. Weak.<br />
<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/?action=view&amp;current=33408_1221454917009_1848042153_4462.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/33408_1221454917009_1848042153_4462.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br />
It was raining anyways, cute umbrella DW<br />
<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/?action=view&amp;current=35791_1221462917209_1848042153_4462.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/35791_1221462917209_1848042153_4462.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br />
We managed to get a bit more skating done after the rain. I&#8217;ve been going to Jacksonville to skate for the past 5 years, and I still find new stuff to skate there. It&#8217;s no wonder, Jacksonville is the largest city in the United States, no lie, look it up. We found this thing right under our noses. Jonny gap to 5-0.<br />
<a href="http://s36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/?action=view&amp;current=36356_1221453916984_1848042153_4462.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/WHEATLEYMAN/36356_1221453916984_1848042153_4462.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" /></a><br />
We got there so early the troops were tired before we could even night skate. We decided to get out of Jax when characters like this started roaming the streets. Till next time Jacksonville. Check out some footage from the trip <a href="http://a39.video2.blip.tv/7970005154351/Wheatleyman1-JaxDay365.mov?bri=3.0&#038;brs=6275">rycheaaaa.</a></p>
